My Experience
Hi, I'm Katelyn! I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with +12 years experience supporting clients with breaking down lifestyle and behavior changes that can help them live their lives the way they want to. My love of food catalyzed me to get a degree in Food Science and Nutrition, with a Specialization in Dietetics, and it was a natural fit. I completed my Dietetic Internship at Central Washington University in 2011 and passed my national exam later that year.
I have worked for 2 cutting-edge startups with corporate portfolios providing 1:1 coaching. This allowed me to work with people all over the country, with diverse backgrounds and varied health concerns. Some clients focus on prevention, where as others wanted to reduce the impacts of disease/conditions on their daily lives. I've supported clients with, nutrition education, exercise implementation, stress management and sleep routines; all of which are important for one to live their best life and thrive.
I'm grateful to have worked with hundreds of clients over the years, who have allowed me witness all of their ups and downs. This has provided me with the opportunity to see how each person has their own wellness journey - no two are the same, and I have the ability to help my clients pinpoint what works for them.
My Journey
Like many people, I have experienced health challenges. Starting with teenage acne and side effects of the medications I took. Removal of my gallbladder after years symptoms which lead to many years of disrupted digestion. Getting help with managing stress and anxiety. Most recently autoimmune diagnosis. It's been amazing looking back over the years to see the downstream effect of choices that were made and how it has impacted my health.

Outside of work, I keep coming back to what makes me thrive. I don't have it all figured out, and life happens, but I am able to best contribute to this world when I'm being my authentic, thriveable self. Right now that includes spending an inordinate amount of time talking to my cats and having a cup of coffee to start my day. Dabbling with fermented yogurt and sourdough bread, putting chia seeds in my water, and drinking a ton of ginger tea. Constantly struggling with exercise. Taking an unnecessary number of photos of my food and magnified photos of plants/nature. Continuing to enjoy Seattle restaurants and drinking wine, beer and other fabulous beverages found in the PNW.
